I just seen on FB that Laz and his wife Mary Ann Sommers died Sat. I am only guessing maybe a car wreck, have no details.

edit: Appears it was a plane crash.....http://fox8.com/2014/04/12/officials-id-plane-crash-victims-as-millersburg-couple/#ooid=04YmExbTpdMJQWFUfKgwlRBnDsMDSmM5

Laz was always the coolest dude to talk to and he knew his stuff. He flew out on his plane at nearby akron airport to a gncc race in South Carolina and crashed outside of charleston wv

So sad, I met with Laz several times in person when he did some work for me when I got back into quad racing about 16 years ago. I went to his shop a few times back then and we talked in great detail when he had a booth set up at a local indoor mx race. I watched his business grow immensely over the next several years since then and it was well deserved as he worked hard, stood by his products, and shared his knowledge with others. I had him do almost $2 grand of work for me last year and was very happy with the work. He will be greatly missed for his contributions to the atv industry.

I heard about this yesterday on facebook as well, I couldn't believe it! Truly a sad day for the ATV community. Prayers go out to the surviving family.

Damn, definitely lost a good friend/father/husband there. I talked to him a few times over the phone back when I was figuring out my rear suspension setup on my 400 and he really helped out, offered to help in any way and was a really great guy. RIP.:(

Unbelievable....we go back before he was well known. Back to the storage shed shop days. Definitely someone who would go out of his way to help others. Way too young to die, ride in peace laz.

Should we be surprised that none of the Admins here posted anything? Considering Laz's relationship with the forum that can't be named, I have to wonder.
