i have the choke on half choke and the idle speed is up all the way.when i turn off the choke, the idle drops and then it dies. i have to keep the throttle at half to keep it going. what do you think?

Sounds like the pilot jet in the carb is plugged. take the bowl off the carb and clean the pilot jet and the rest of the carb while your at it. This should fix the problem.

I agree, that sounds like what it is. Did this happen all of the sudden or after you made a mod to it?? Just wonderin cuz it might have changed something and maybe it needs more fuel.

no mods, it's not even broken in yet. i figured out that the idle screw was no good so i turned it up manually and got it going but now when i ride it and give it gas it starts choking. the gas aint giving it no power. when i push the throttle in it don't do nothingbut act stupid .it wants to go but it won't. this same thing happened to me when i took the airbox lid off my beartracker but ithe lid on my ex is on right and the choke is off. any ideas?

make sure your airfilter is clean and theres nothin in your airbox like mouse nests, i've had it happen before

take the boot off your carb and make sure that the choke isnt stuck on at all, once in a great while mine will get stuck up a little bit, move the choke lever and make sure the plate on the inside is moving good

try running it on reserve, if it works by doin this then somethings stuck in your gas tank, unlikely but possible

Did you make sure you didn't move the idler screw. This would make it idle to slow and die unless you have the throttle going .......

You got a brand new quad, take the thing back to the dealer and let them fix it.
