That depends on what else you are doing to the motor. If you are not going to add a high comp piston, Than the hot cam stage one is a good choice it is designed to run with the stock compression.:)

If ur gunna do that, try a hotcams stage 2. I heard they give good power all the way through the rpm range, but especially mid to top end. The piston should take care of the bottom end. I would throw on an xr head gasket instead of a standard. This will up ur compression from 10.5:1 to like 10.7:1 because it is a thinner gasket, it is also metal and i trust them more than the stock one. Just another thought for ya.;)

Yea, should be able to run premium pump up until 11:1. After that i would start to mix race and premium. I am gunna run pump with 11:1 in 2 weeks when i do my 416. I will be runnin the XR head gasket with a JE 10.8:1 piston. I may add a little octane boost but nothin major.:macho
Just get a JE or Ross piston, Stay away from Wiseco, their climed compression ratio is not what it says, if they say its 11:1, its really only like 10.4:1.;)
XR400 cam is good for bottom end and midrange..
