I would have to say the yzf426. I think theres someone on here selling a motor if you want to get started on yours :)

yeah by far the 426, its gunna cost ya a little bit to build one though.

i'd say banshee if you don't mx but if you just wanna do a casual trail ride and play around and maybe a lil mx i'd get a raptor. It depends.

I would have to Disagree..Id have to say the YZF450 is prolly the best motor...But for the best yamaha production bike id say all yamaha quads suck,but id have to go with the craptor

hey outlaw he asked what yamaha quad was the best, the 450 is a honda motor, not yamaha!! the yzf426 is the best yamaha motor,
although the crf450 is the best overall!!!

Yea 426, but if you dont want to build your own bike go with a Banshee, or Raptor! Id say Raptor.:confused:

personally i think the raptors are 2 heavy for mx, id go with the banshee if u don have the money to build a custom quad!!

sorry i have to throw a correction in here !! there is a YZ450 now !! and why go with the 450 though? the limit is 440? do you really wanna buy a motor then destroke it the day you get it ? i started on my 440 project mine is a 98 yz400 that im having bored to 440 !! if your going to buy a production quad and you are going to mx then use the banshee no its not the greatest handling wise but i was able to use the power more but that is something you can only decide on ?! im a 2 stroke freak to the core !! the only reason im using the yz440 is because its very very strong and i can ride that motor almost as good as my R motro !!

the limit is 440 unless u race open class, some ppl like to do that.

They make a yz450f they buddy. And it is better than the 426.

It may look that way but ooooo do thos yzf's have power. I personally dont think it looks restrictive though

yeah i know those bike have unbelvable power but it's pretty much the same pipe as a 250f where the mags say ( not sure if there like atv action and dirt wheels) but they say that 250f pipe is the worst pipe you could put on a bike like that

4-stroke=Raptor
Money is no object=yz462f
