front sprockets the same for all year models?

are the splines the same for all year model 400ex front sprockets? mine is a 2000 model, but i wanted to order a primary drive chain/sprocket kit for a 05+ cause they have the 14t front sprocket, and the kit only gives you the stock front sprockets.

They changed the splines for the 2005 models. The 2004 are different.

hmmmm, i guess thats why this sprocket i bought awhile back didnt fit? guy told me it was 400ex, i didnt know the years were different. thanks
