Stock 450r shocks and then send them away to get done according to you weight. I'm going to run my 450 shocks stock when mine is put back together for awhile until I send em away.

The main question is do you race or are you just a recreational rider looking for a better ride?

I'd do the 450 rebuild option too. You can often times find rebuilt 450 shocks for pretty cheap, they won't be setup for a 400, but they'll be better than the stock ones for sure. I run 450 shocks on my 426 and even though it raises the front a little ibt, they dont' bounce as much and dont' bottom out as easy. I've done 2 hairscrambles on that quad.

I think it really depends on your situation. On my 250r I had my OEM rear rebuilt, revalved, and resprung, a long with a set of new front gt thunder essentials setup up for xc/MX mix riding. This all cost Lil under $700 shipped back last spring.

this is what i did and it was the most economical way to go. gtthunder is a blessing.

Then you don't really need much adjustability so I would say stock 450r revalves would be perfect
For you

I also recommend the HLS Essentials in front, send rear to GTT, and get a GTT link. This is a very good setup for the money.

http://m.ebay.com/itm/321348093400?nav=SEARCH Lil rough but that got the basis. I still think by the time you buy 450s and have them redone essentials are the way to go. I also don't know what it costs to redo a set of 450s, but an advantage is that you have rezzi's

Get 450r shocks and send them to Derisi Racing. Best rebuilds you can buy!
