Whats up guys. I had a desert seat that wasnt selling so i went a head and did this. May have been a bad idea but it came out decent. Will get pics of it on the bike when the 4 feet of snow in my yard melts!

You cant always stand riding desert and the tall seat helps absorb a lot along with helping you with more sight of what's in front of you by sitting up a little higher. Speeds in the desert are usually a lot higher and less reaction time, Tall seat give you a better chance.

Good explanation KKiowaTJ. And since i was riding more trials and MX it is more comfortable for me to sit lower and stand when needed.

Drifterboy3 you can probably do this to a stocker seat also. What i did was remove the seat cover (the stables underneath) using a method that i feel is best and easiest.
I actually used an electric turkey carver to cut the majority out. I made measurements also after looking at some seats before cutting .

Made the cuts, smoothed out the seat, and stretched the seat cover over using some fabric tacky adhesive on the hump part..

That part was tricky because the seat cover was not made for the hump so i tried a few ways firts before finding the best way.

Not sure if any of that makes sense but if yourself wanna do it shoot me a text or call anytime 845 490 2414

1718107422 My hump start 6 3/4" from the back of the seat. Sitting on it but itself feels good. I need to stick it on the quad to see if it's good for where I ride
