So, anyone else make one of these? We are close to finishing ours and so far this is the gearing we will try, unless anyone has any more time and ideas.

Thank you

We have 14/38 right now on the 2 crf250 mods I built.

I built a crf250 for my son and we have started with a 13/39. We have only ridden on some smaller local SX style tracks. Its definitely going to need more gear for a longer national type track.

I built a cr250 hybrid and i switch between 14/38 and 14/42 with 20in tires the 14/38 is nice but seems to short sometimes, I mainly used the 14/42 for 22in 4snows when im drag racing.

Im sure the 4 strokes are different being that they have a better torque curve but you can always use 18in tires or just play around until you get it right.

i would probably talk to people at the track to get a reference point on gearing. each track is going to be different.
