CR250 Ignition

I have a question regarding the CR Ignition for a 250R. I have seen that the 2001 CR250 Ignition was a preferred year to get. I see however ESR now sells the 2007 CR Ignition. Is there a difference between which years CR250 Ignition?? Any Pros and Cons I should be aware of no matter what year CR250 Ignition to get?? I am wanting to install a CR250 Ignition on my 250R so any information and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks DnB-Racing, I did do a search and other site with that member, yes he has lots of info, but it also seemed kinda complex as well. I did find out that the 2007 CR250 Ignition was a powervalve while 2001 is not. Ideally, is there really a significant difference PRO/CON on either Ignition??

Back when I had my 250r I used the 02 setup (carb, intake , ignition) Once dialed in, it was awesome revved to the moon and never had a issue with it at all. not sure on the 07 setup.
