I bought Elkas off ebay....Contact Elka with the s/n that is on the shocks, they keep records of who and how they were set up and can give you info, and sell you the right springs for your particular shocks.

Where can I find the number is it just written/engraved on the shocks?

Upper shock mount area. The top case part is red, they are engraved/stamped on that. I have piggybacks and have to just about take shocks off to read them.

On the quad they are facing the frame.
