Has anyone put a shifter motor in a DRR frame? Been thinking about doing that and wondered what others thought of it.

A few yrs ago there was a couple guys on here that did it. They even posted a vid of it running. My opinion is its not worth the trouble. I had even thought about it. Do a search you might be able to find the post.

I have a friend that put a rm 65 in one.. He did it for 2 reasons.

1) it was free (he already had the MC and the frame)
2) he just wanted to teach his daughter to shift..

I know it could be done better than he did it, but I agree with above, it really isn't worth it if you plan on racing it or you have to shell out any amount of $$$$$.

He will be in the 70 class so i will have to put some kind of 65 in it. If i did decide to do it what would be the best motor to go with? It will be his MX practice quad and some XC racing. He has two DRR's right now and just thought of putting a shifter in one so he could get use to it for when he moves up to that class. I just thought it would be good for him to have the shifter in the DRR so at least the two quads would feel familiar to him when he rides one or the other.
