I've got 2, a 2000 Ranger with 188k as my DD as a cheap to and from work truck that I bought used back in high school, and my new 2012 Ram Power Wagon that I absolutely LOVE. It cost me a pretty penny, and it only averages 12 mpg (gets 18-20 on the highway but town really drags it down with 4.56 gears and my lead foot) but it with go anywhere and pull anything. Felt like I was driving a tank this winter when it was ****ty *** snowy slick weather outside, everyone else was going 35 on the highway and was flying by people going 65 scaring the **** out of them, lol.

Lol, I think the same thing. I don't even like having them up, I barely even run them when I am pulling a trailer. They aren't wide enough and don't provide a good FOV behind you unless they are down.

I see one around here every once in a while. People peg them as unreliable and gutless but honestly as long as you put in the pmd/fsd kit there isn't a lot else to go wrong and in 94 they're rated at 185hp/360ft/lbs, not bad if you look at the specs for other trucks in that year, and damn for fuel milage, this things great in the summer, winter not so much though. I haven't had too many problems with mine either. Blows some great smoke for a stock truck too! :muscle:

I never considered those engines as a detroit, as i know technically they are but to me they are not a detroit haha. A detroit to me is a screaming jimmy....a turbo charged, super charged 2 stroke diesel screaming so ungodly loud you cant help but fall in love with. Back when i was into tractor pulling there was a group of brothers that pulled an 1855 Oliver with a screaming jimmy in it. There was one local pull they were close enough to drive the tractor too. You could literally hear them coming from miles away.....This is a detroit haha

My cousin had a k5 army blazer with the 6.5. Everything else fell apart around engine itself. I believe he would've kept it if that hadn't have happen. He hates diesels but loved that thing. That's about the only thing those 6.5s were good for putting miles on cuz u couldn't get much power of one.

There was another dude around here who had one and converted it over to something doc from back to the future would've been proud of. It ran on anything that would burn. Said it loved transmission fluid. He used motor oil and everything thru it. He just dumped it in the tank like gas and it ran. He had to mix so much gas with it but it wasn't much gas I think he said bout $10 a week

Good looking truck! I've always like that style of ferds. We had an 02 that served us well! A lot of my friends went out after they got their first job and bought 30,000.00+ trucks. 80% of them are seasonal labors. I rarely spend my money and since I started working at 14 I always saved. I paid cash for my truck. I at least know if anything happens to my job Im not gonna lose it.

Dad bought this 92' Nissan brand new and left it to me when he passed in 2000. Been a great truck, I paint the frame every year, although the back bumper finally rusted out last yr. only 116,000 miles on it so far. I put his ships name and 2 jap subs they sunk on the door in his memory. They got 5 planes too but can't find small decals of them yet.

Now, I have a 95' jeep YJ with a Rock Krawler hard arm, 4 link rear, 3 link front, Fox coilovers at all four corners, Full disc brakes, pretty much everything but a winch. Frame down solid as a rock, Body needs some TLC, But the last of my worries.

Well, I decided to sell my black Ranger I've had since high school and buy a 2002 4x4 extended cab Ranger for a good dd. Only has 95,000 on the clock and it's got the 4.0 so it's gunna be damn reliable. I just couldn't stand not having a 4x4 this last winter and having to drive my brand new Dodge to the **** hole I work in just because it had four wheel drive. Plus I'm a tall guy and regular cab gets cramped. It's got a few little things done to that helps too. Has a good Westin brush guard on it that will help in case I hit one of the many deer I see on my way home after work. Also has a K&N cold air intake that'll help for mileage, and just for looks it has clearance lights on it that look pretty cool for a Ranger. Anyway here she is:

Yea, that's what I was kinda thinking the same things Marc. I did take those headlight guards off, but I figure a slightly dented fender and maybe a broken headlight is better than a completely ruined fender, bumper and headlight.

And damn TC, that made a huge difference in the look of your truck. It went from a normal looking daily driver to a badass lifted Chevy. Rims look damn good.

And damn TC, that made a huge difference in the look of your truck. It went from a normal looking daily driver to a badass lifted Chevy. Rims look damn good.

thanks. i had a lifted truck before and i been dying for another one so i lifted this one. built not bought is always better.

Here's a recent pic since I cranked the bars 1.5", added a 1" block and got the new wheels/tires on.

I was just thinking of bumping this since I have a done a few things to the power wagon. I did quite a bit and don't really feel like listing it all out but most of it is pretty easy to tell. Pretty sure the last time I posted it it was bone stock for the most part.
