Making MY kymco 90 faster?

i just purchased my son a 14 kymco 90, wow is it slow, i did the cvt mod by removing the spacer from the front pulley and that really brung it to life, but what about the cdi mod? is there a different cdi i can purchase or a wire i can cut on the existing one? thanks for any help here is a pic of the cdi thanks

This is on a scooter but looks very similar. Maybe not hard to tell. Look up the scooter part number and the 90 part number if they are same then this will work.
