Hey guys my 400ex has a lonestar racing bearing carrier and I noticed there's some play in it so I got to looking on lonestars website and they want 85 dollars for a rebuild kit!! Is there a cheaper alternative I go with that will drop right in there carrier? Or do I fork that kinda money over for 2 bearings ?
Thanks!

Boss bearing or rad manufacturing. last set i got was from rad and I was plenty happy. Yank the seals out of the bearings and grease the heck out of them. Try to put the seals back in if you can but they arent needed. Could also do pivot works.

Do they make a dual row bearing that will work with the lonestar carrier?

For the time and trouble it takes, Id just buy a new carrier ready to plug and play. The LSR duel row is only $130 to the door or you can get a cheaper one. In the mean time if you run across bearing(s) for cheap, Then its worth it to rebuild and have a spare drop in carrier. To each their own, Good luck

Thanks for the info Guys! Ill just spend 40$ and rebuild it since there's nothing wrong with the carrier itself!

I always try to have a backup bearing carrier with good bearings during the race season

smart idea. If the carrier is good there's no reason to spend triple the amount for a new one and bearings. After you put the bearings in keep your eyes peeled for a used stock carrier with bad bearings, you can pick them up for dirt cheap and then install new bearings and you have a backup.

I've been hit or miss with the All Balls I've bought. Some last a half a year, other last 2 years. Maybe it's just what I ride in but it's not like I'm riding through foot deep mud or water every ride like I do on my Rancher. I usually buy Pivot Works if possible or All Balls if it is significantly cheaper.
