I just got my motor back and back in the frame. This is what I had done to the engine...... 416cc JE 11:1
Hotcam Stage 2
Full Race Porting
Valve Job (not oversize)
I have a full LRD exh. and have a K&N w/o lid.
I'm running 100 oct. with the new motor.

Just wondering if anyonce has a similar setup. I could use some advice on where to start on the jetting. Before with just the pipe and K&N it was 165 Main, 50 pilot, 4th notch from top. I'm looking for a general range that others have with similar 416's.

I have a wiseco 416, and full port and polish with removed choke and am running a 42 pilot with a 185 main. I know that the main seems big, but we tried every size until it was right and thats what we ended up with. Anyways hope that this helps.

Start with around a 180 main with your setup, and work your way down. Extensive porting (especially race porting), depending upon the shop that did it, can be unpredictable.

I have a 415, low end cam, pipe, filter, etc., and run around a 170 in the summer. I like to keep it a little rich because it is a little bit of insurance and helps fight carbon buildup.

Just listen to the motor and pay attention to how it feels. Plug reading has, for the most part, become a thing of the past because oxygenated fuels really mess with color on plugs.

Good luck.

richness will CAUSE carbon build up. my plud is tan and i hve changed to 45 pilot. still 155 main after porting. runs LOVELY

YZ-What notch is your needle set at?? I did alot of jetting this weekend and it looks like our setups and elevations are similar. I ended up with 42 pilot, and 155 main. I do need to play around with the main a little more. When holding it at 3/4 to full throttle for an extended period of time I will still get a sputter.

Plug reading hasn't been any help to me, just more confusing. Thanks for everyones input!!

Sorry- I see it in your earlier post. That's what mine is at right now too. I'll get it right and be racing this weekend! Thanks again.

i would go nor more than a 150 on a stock motor, even with a full exhaust
