hey everyone its been a few years since ive posted on the site so i guess im posting today to say hello to everybody and to welcome you to my rebuild story:devil: ..I guess ill start off with alil short story as to how i got to this point im at right now well lets rewind back to 2008 the last time i was racing fulltime.i was having a blast that year racing wth all my buddies doing well even did a couple nats that year in B and did good enough that i decided heck im gonna try to do the nats next year and got all my new parts gathered up tore my one bike completely down powdercoated everything sent the motor out and had it in pieces under my one bench just waiting for the end of the season to put it back together..until the very last local race of the season changed everything for me in a matter of a couple seconds..long story short i wrecked and poped my shoulder out of place no big deal right...well i was wrong i was young a thought a couple weeks i would be fine..got back on the horse things were great untill it just popped out again....and again fast forward about 5 times more and i finally got the message that something was wrong...so off to the ortho surgeon i went found out i had a torn labrum hmm didnt seem like a big deal and in about 4 months ill be as good as new.so went thru the surgery and did all the rehab that goes along with it..got the green light to do whatever well that lasted all of 2 weeks when i went to sleep and woke up in the most agonizing pain..shoulder out of place again..back to the surgeon again fun fun...found out he screwed up...so i went thru another surgery to repair a torn rotator cup, a bone rescupture and another labrum repair along with plenty of pins..gladly the surgeon rightfully sucked up the cost of the first surgery..and i was back to road to recovery this time about 8 months recovery....at the time racing was an afterthought riding was not worth it.seeing people doing something i felt like i would never do again made me sick....so i got my life together started a buisness.but the feeling never went away i always wanted to ride still.fast forward winter 2012 i still had my bike under the bench and decided i couldnt take it anymore i had to get back out there and put it back together...i was hooked once again...didnt really race much just enough to see if i still had it after all the years..so now here we are present day and the time to get a rebuild in yahhh!! thank you everybody for reading

well now to explain what my plans are in the rebuild...and im personally doing all work myself except for machine work of course all powdercoat will be done by yours truely

plans are: white frame and sub, wheels
white to red fade arms and swingarm
red bumpers and nerf bars, hubs , motor mounts
black motor covers nerf pegs
new bearings all over the place
white laker hood
new graphics
sti tech 4 tires
new nerf nets

and for the motor i plan on tearing it down for inspection during the season i had a problem with my decompression lever bolt came loose and actually cut a perfect hole out of my valve cover the crazy part it ran the whole time while that happened untill i shut it off and went back later to start it and it was locked up...thats when i finally found out what happened...so i fixed that problem and flushed the motor out..anyone have that problem??

anyway taking it apart to clean out any extra metal in there
so new crank bearings
inspect crank/replace if i feel the need too
new clutch
re ring my je piston

only new parts im doing is having another head done
port n polish kibblewhite valves and spring kit
web cam prolly whatever there drop in is

alright while i was starting my post i decided to do some powdercoating and i decided to start with the arms and swingarm to see how my fade job will come out since ive never done a fade with white..only concern is the red getting into the white and looking pink but if i do it right i think it will be the tits:devil: so yesterday i dropped the parts in the b17 (really nasty powdercoat stripper highly dangerous if it gets on you)

Looks like a fun rebuild I hope you have better luck with your shoulder this time around. I just had three tears in my labrum repaired a cpl days ago, surgery is no fun. But I hope to race Loretta's this year without any shoulder problems.

ok got the swingarm powdered and the lower a arms done i decided to clear all the parts to hopefully keep the white from staining so easily.but clearing it did make the red get lighter no big deal but i think im going to change my scheme alil since that happened so all my bumpers and nerf will just go black..oh if you Didnt notice i didnt finish the top arms because well i fudged them up and they came out not so good so back in the b17 they go:ermm:!:ermm:

lil update for today going back out to finish the aarms and going to start stripping the bumpers and nerfs....gonna take tires off rims and start stripping the wheels for more powder action.hopefully next week ill be able to get the frame stripped and get it done as well so i can start putting back together!!!!

Good luck with the rebuild. It looks like you are in prime ATV country near Malvern there. Outlaw, Beans, Area 330 (in the day), BC, Highlands, Honda Hills..

You have any plans to race OMA or CRA or Nationals? It's good to see a fellow NE OH guy around. I think 2008 was when the vast majority of the National riders retired. Maybe I'll see you at a race or two, if we haven't raced against each other already. =)

thanks man yah i am in the middle of it all but its in such a decline then what i used to remember from back in the day....back them any of those tracks will let quads ride and practice now maybe 3-4 kinda sucks but maybe one day something could change....i raced oma this year maybe 7-8 races tops and raced summit indoors last feb was my only cra...probably stick to oma only again there fun enough for me and its good to see someone so close too and forsure im sure we will see each other around for sure

lil update decided to completely change my powdercoat colors because i just wasnt happy with the white red fade so i went ahead and stripped everything ive already done and decided to go all red with candy red sparkle and doing all the bolt ons white so heres some new pics of what i got done...all im waiting on is bearings so i can start to put it back together but with the holidays coming i dont see much happening untill after the first. so heres some new pics you cant really see the sparkle much with the the camera on my phone
