Getting sick of the battery on the side of the subframe and I need a new battery so I am looking into getting an aluminum air box to eliminate that stock look. Anyone have any feed back? Could this effect airflow? It looks a little bunched..

I think there is a couple guys on here running those. I used to think I'd like to re-locate the battery in the box. But then I saw that and just thought "Man, that is gunna be a b**ch to clean/change that filter" So I threw that idea out the window.

I have one on my list because I've always had problems with my sylonide getting wet one time it cost me a race

I had thought about doing that also, but somewhat "updating" it, meaning dropping the battery lower/ making the box a little bit longer so that everything is not as cramped in there. You could always use a lithium battery also instead of the stocker battery...

I never thought about doing it with my LiPO battery. It is much smaller, but then you would probably have to make a different strap or re-arrange some stuff to get the extra room that you gain from the smaller battery. Which if you have spare time and nothing else to do but tinker in your shop then it's fine, but I don't have much free time anymore so I'm never really in the mood to custom make anything since I had to do quite a bit of that already.

Making a different strap wouldnt be too hard. Since you have so much time in custom making things, whats one more little thing to do?

Well another thing that would prevent me from doing that is my GT link. I'd smash the s#!t outta that thing when I bottom my shock out since it's not made/molded to clear the brake caliper like the stock box is when the shock is bottomed out.
