i need new front rims and i was getting ready to order douglas rims and the choice was 2+3 or 3+2 what does this mean. thanks

2:3 offset means that 2 inches are on the inside of the rim and 3 inches are on the outside of the rim so its 5 inches in total. same as a 3:2 its 3 on the inside 2 on the outside, 4:1 is 4 on the inside and one on the outside. 4:1 has the least bumpsteer where 2:3 has the most. Also 2:3's are wider but they push more in turns and dont corner as good

Go with 3:2's they are the most common and are pretty close to stock but they give u 1/2 inch each side so +1 inches total and not much bumpsteer at all.

Id get 2:3 offset if ur gonna run stock a-arms

Wouldn't 3:2's give you a total of two more inches total width? One additional inch on each side?? Since were talked offsets, what are the stock rears and what are available aftermarket for the rear??

I've got 3:2 rims with +2 a arms. My bud has 2:3 with stock a arms. when i had stock a arms with the same rims, i think my quad handled a little better than his. Sure his was wider, but it pushed in the corners bad. But if you ask him, he likes his better than mine. So i guess it's personal prefference. if your gonna get wider a arms later, i wouldn't get 2:3 rims.

oh, and 3:2 rims would only give you one more inch because stock offset is 3.5:1.5

well i flipped my front wheels so does the mean I am now 1.5/3.5 Yes it does create lots of bumpsteer. I just raced at Macon last week with the stock a-arm offset wheel setup and my forearms are still tight. I didn't have a steering damper either :( Now I have a damper and it helped alot. I am going to race the Nationals at London with that setup and see how it does. If there is too much bumpsteer with the damper I'm going to go with a-arms and 3/2. But I'll have to wait and see. I'd like to save all the money I can.
