I have a kfx80 that the only way it will start is if you put your fingers over the front of the carb.Let it warm up and it will run fine all day.Shut it off and let it sit for half an hour and it will not start, have to do the 2 fingers over the carb again.Cleaned the carb over and over.!50 pounds compression, installed new crank seals ton of spark, new o-ring on spacer block between reeds and carb, reeds look fine.Has me puzzled any suggestions what to check next, should I remove top end?

Welcome to the forums. :)
I wouldn't tear the top end off seeins it has such good compression.
The fingers point to a choke circiut problem. You've done a fine job on checking everything out.
With that being said, I'm thinking it may be a bad carb. Micro stuff gets into those lil tiny holes and there is no way to get it out.
I just replaced a carb that had a very similiar problem. FYI: I been using the ebay carbs w/no problems.

Thank you lt80.That was my last step the carb.Tried boiling the carb and everything I could think of.I saw the ones on ebay, bought one for a lt50 before and it worked flawless.
