well I used a small torch, sif you do it make sure to start farther away and get closer, till it looks a little shiny'r, and if you stay in a spot too long it can warp or the plasic and burn(turn black)-darren

There are a lot of products out there that you can get to clean your plastic up (Armoral is one...) If you have scratches you may need/want to shave them down because they tend to hold dirt and make the plastic look darker or gray. The torch is alright, but be careful...

I also heard Mop N Glo works, but haven't tried it yet. Post up if you try it and let us know how it turns out. You could also try PC Plastic Renew, but I heard it's pretty labor intensive.

use Future floor wax, it works really great if you use it strait and wipe it on evenly with a towel......don't buy the plastic renew, it doesn't work very well, is very time consuming, and i think that it made my plastic look worse

In the review section there is a review for PC Plastic renew. Cheak it out.

What the review doesn't tell you is that the chemical that makes the plastic shiny wears off (it even tells you this on the bottle) then you are left with plastic that is all scratched up from the sandpaper. Sure you can keep reapplying it every time it wears off (3-4 hours every time, and $20.00 for a new kit) or you can save yourself a big headache and use some armorall or future. This product is the reason that I finally broke down and bought new plastic.:(

the floor cleaner works good. after i clean it w/ that and it dries completely,i use meguires tire gel shines it up really nice plus it lasts awhile when riding in wet conditions/also lasts for a few washes. its also good when its dusty out because the dust just blows or wipes off. hope this helps any.

OK, well at least the price for 400ex front and rear plastics are only $160.

I just use a buffer with some fine grit compound. Works awesome. They spray the whole bike with some spray silicone. Comes out nice and shiny here is a pic...
