I'm running 20" fronts on my 400 and found the steering to be a lot more touchy.Turning the bars a little gets a lot more reaction.

Well I'm not that good at explaining but I'll try. Putting smaller tires on the front will make your quad tilta little more forward, this puts more traction on the front tires, but also this gets you less ground clearance, little less tred on the ground, the tire wears a little faster and tires somewhat work as a shock, its like taking 1 inch or 2 on a crappy shock. haha I tried-darren

:P sorry bout that here it is again....i am going to be changing the tires to xcrs on the back of my 400 and i was wondering if i should get mx fronts bc they were smaller. i will be going with 20 11 9 xcrs so there bout the same as stock in size... i want to know if having the quad leaning forwards is a good idea...if not what tire should i buy for the fronts?(i would like to stay holeshot bc ive had good experiences with them) but it dose not matter as long as the tires last long and grip good!

i want to get exrs cuz i was told they roost like crazy :devil :D

You DO NOT want the mx tires up front if your trail riding..they are 2 ply and wear fast..they are for MX tracks only...just get some 21 inch front ITP's....

When you put shorter tires on the frt and not the back, this does tilt the quad down in the frt, effectively reducing the caster. When caster is reduced it will steer quicker and become more darty and touchy, especially at high speeds.
