Im thinking about checking out the Ironman race tomorrow. Its a 4 hr drive for me one way and Im wondering if its worth it. Ive never been to a GNCC race and I just wanted to see what the opinions are... Is there alot to check out at the races? Do you get to look kinda close at the quads? Do you get to see a good amount of the action, or is it a few quick passes by?

Ironman is one of the best for spectating. Plenty of big hills. 4hr is a long way, but if you like racing, it would be worth it. Especially if you stayed overnight and watched the bikes on Sunday.

It's well worth the drive I would go to ironman but it's 9 hr drive for me you get to see plenty of wrecks and some really fast riders

Thanks for the heads up. I took my son and we had a great time! It was well worth the drive. We didn't have much time this weekend, but next time ill plan on camping. Its too bad the ironman isn't open to ride regularly.
