I bought a 51mm wiseco piston a guy was unable to use due to a botched bore and was about to install but can not see a "T" on the rings. on the right side of the gap I can faintly see some letters but not well enough to read ( luck it would say DOWN rather than up). There also isn't a thinner corrugated ring beneath the bottom ring like the previous piston. Is this one missing it or does it not require it being a different brand?

If you can see anything on a ring end, that side is up.
No, you don't need that squiggley thing on that wiseco piston.
Make sure the bore guy gives the piston at least .0035 clearance.

In case you don't hear it enough... your wisdom is greatly appreciated! I am drilling the clutches right now and it seems that scale is lying to me. They started at 214g and I am now looking for a pic of a finished one at 180g to see if I need to cut off more or keep drilling. I am afraid to take off too much near the piece that the little rubber grommet sets in, in case it gets hung up or something.

Thank you. :)
I cut them off about1/2" from the pad.
Where the rubber thing goes gets cut off.
