I am pulling my cylinder soon and am wondering if I should re ring the piston while it's apart. I built it probably Feb/March. Here's a pic of the top of piston.
Also does it matter using hex or round jets? I've used both and they worked but not sure?

Your rings will have plenty of life left......Kehn main jets should be hex, pilots are round.....not sure what other kind of jets would fit a Kehn carb..?

Rotate the engine a little so you can see the cylinder wall and post a pick of it.The round head jets he is talking about are probably dynojets

That round style jet is not for your carb. Use the hex style

I have a hex in it now. I believe I have used the round style though and it worked. What is it for

I think the round ones are for dirt bike carbs, but I'm not sure. It may have worked on your carb, but if you had went up a hill, or jumped it, it would have sputtered for a second. The round one isn't long enough to reach into the bottom of the bowl, the hex one is. So the jet is surrounded my fuel the entire time.

Never noticed any problems honestly, I don't jump. Ill be sure to use only hex from now on though.
