I needed a battery strap in a rush. So instead of buying online, or going to the dealer, I went to Home Depot. In the lumber department they have framing straps, and I got one for two or three bucks. It's about 1-1/8 wide by 12" long. It already has a couple holes in it, by they're off center, and not close to the end like I wanted. Drill a .250 hole at about .375-.5 from one end on center, bolt it to the top hole, and mark the first bend keeping it close to the battery. Then take it off and bend it 90 degrees. Bolt it back on, and shape the rest around the battery. I cut a rubber strip the same width, but a little shorter for a cushion. Once you make the second turn down, mark and drill your second hole, bolt it up, and trim off the excess with shears. Mine looks pretty good, I think. It's just a suggestion if you're in a pinch and need a strap. 1718105490
