Hey guys I've been out of the quad scene for awhile. I'm looking to get either a newer 400x or 450er. I went to go check out a 08 450er that is in mint condition all stock. He bought it in 2010. I can tell it has been ridden very little. He is asking 4500 which I think is hight but what do you guys think? I was wanting a kick start, did they stop making them?

04/05 was kickstart only, 06-09 was kick start or electric start option. Anything newer than 09 is e start only.

Sounds high to me.

There are some dealers in ohio that could sell you a new 08 out of the crate for not much more than that

I'm going to offer 4, I think its a fair price. There are plenty of quads for sale I'm going to keep looking as well

Even 4 seems a little high to me. As mentioned you can find brand new never ridden models that are 2-3 years old at the dealership for around 4500.

Seeing that you're from Iowa i would keep your eyes peeled. I know a guy around here selling one for 2k and it's an 04 kicker that has very few hours. It's taken everything I have not to snatch it up.

You should be able to find a good condition 450 for 3k.

Yea your right. I'm going to keep looking. I checked the dealers around me and they don't have any leftovers. I'm looking for a quad that hasn't been molested or beat to death. I may end up with a newer 400 if I find the right deal

Too bad your not in ohio. One of my OLD riding buddies decided last year he was going to get back into it. Went and bought a black 08 out of the crate. Took it home and put a full set of pro armor skid plates on it (a-arms frame and swingarm) new pro armor fat peg nerfs and netted heel guards. Took it to hatfield mccoy ONCE. Got a girl knocked up, married her she quit her job to be a stay at home mom and it has set in the corner of a heated garage ever since. I swear it was rode once only. He told me I could have it for 3500. So im sure anyone could. he gave 4800 for it and put a grand in protection on it.

Sorry to jack your thread, any dealer names with leftovers? Quads in alberta seem to be worth their weight in gold. $5000 gets you something that has 25" mud lights and has been to the bottom of every boghole in sight.

That price is waaaay high, I paid 3999 for a 2 year old DS450 in 2010. Offer him 2500, honestly sport quads aren't worth much. To agree with others you could get on brand new from a dealer for less and have a warranty.

Call Honda of Rarden, rarden ohio. 740-372-3112. Tell them what your looking for. At one time they had an entire 2nd story shelf full of black and red 2007 left overs but cant say for now. On another not here was a quick 15 minute craiglist search. Looks clean and unmolested.
