front mx tires

getting new front tires for my yfz. i have 18 inch in the rear. what are the pros and 19s vs 20s. any input is appreciated, thanks guys

Everyone is running 20s. except the smaller atvs.

My reasoning behind not running 19s. Not sure if they are 100% legit, but it works for me on the mx track. They provide better handling characteristics given the way you gain ground clearance over 19s. Keep your a-arms out of the ruts. Also with the rake in the frame, it doesn't allow the nose to pitch downward because of the additional height.

We used to run 19s on hard packed MX tracks, but those are so few and far between these days. The supply of 20" tires is far greater than 19s. It's not worth saving $10/tire to get 19s.

If you need front tires, let me know. I have 6-7 sets of new fronts I'm trying to sell: Goldspeeds, Maxxis, BKTs, Dunlops. If you really want 19s, I do have 3 sets of brand new tires for sale. The Maxxis are mounted on black Yamaha rims right now if you just wanted the whole deal?
