Question on rev kit for a 300ex!!

Is a rev kit worth the money for a 300ex? Does it make it fatser? How much? Does it have more top end pick-up? help me thanx

On a stock bike I think it would be a waste of money but on a modded (cam, piston, stroker) bike it's a must have.
