My bearing replacement kit came with 4 oring ,2 go aroung the carrier,1 inside the caliper stay(holder) the last is the same size as the one inside the caliper stay, where does it go? any help is much appreciated.the oring is # 31 on the parts diagrams that I have looked at,they show it but not where it goes.

Well after much searching I think I figured it out, goes on the carrier between the Stay and the carrier, don't see what good it does there though.

I think that is the one I don't bother putting on because it's hard as hell to get the snap ring on.

yeah it makes it hard to put the snap ring on with that one, but there is a spot for it.

31 goes inside the stay I think, don't know why they list 1 on each side though. And the 2 32s go on each end of the carrier but they get pinched and cut in half most of the time and make it a pain to get the stay on like everyone is saying. They aren't really needed, just coat it in waterproof grease and keep up on the maintenance and it'll be fine.

the 2 32's go on the outside of the carrier there are grooves in the carrier were they belong, those are self explanatory and if installed right, do serve a purpose. 31 goes inside the stay and the 4th one goes on like we mentioned where the brake stay pushes against the swinger. I would say get the first 3 on, if you can't get your snap ring to lock then omit the 4th one.

Hope they don't cause any problems, When I bought and replaced mine I didn't put either O-rings back on. I did use a chit ton of grease back there though and after 50+ hours its still tight as hell and the carrier still spins free and easy.

well Now I'm on to My quad with a RAD H10 carrier and it is missing at least 4 orings....well I have found pieces of a couple of them I think.

I'm pretty sure the aftermarket carriers don't use any O-rings. I can't remember but I think it says not to use them in the instructions that come with it. I have one also.

That would explain why it's so hard with them....

Well since I have to wait for my bearings to arrive I may contact rad to see what they have to say about the orings for their carriers.

Just got off the phone with RAD MFG and they say that the grooves on the outside of the RADH10 Carrier are for grease and not to use the orings that go around the outside of stock carriers. Which I guess DOES explain why it's so hard to get the carrier in place with the orings on.
