I think I have a serious problem.. With the 440ex lol. I got it out the shop about a month ago but barley rode it because racing and I have my other bikes. This weekend I took it out Saturday and Sunday bike ran strong all day no problems whatsoever. I have a magnetic drain plug installed and I just removed it because I'm changing my oil as we speak n I pulled the drain plug and there's 2 big pieces of metal debris. Has 4.8 hours on the rebuild. The bike runs fine. I have no clue what that debri is from. Ill post up some pics

Take it right back to that shop who did the work.

Yeah seriously i don't know how those things didn't cause any damage, or maybe they have but it's not extensive. Take that thing right back to whoever did you work, show them the pieces, then show them the pictures you took of the pieces. Something was not done right.

Wow I looked at the pieces again and one of them looks like it's from the shift forks. I feel like both pieces came from the shift forks..

I can't see how anything that big got through the oil lines, and through the oil cooler, they look to big. I would say they were in your oil tank......but how did they get there? And why so long before they showed up? I would think somebody put them there trying to do damage....anybody been fooling around your quad?

OK I was thinking it was the oil tank bolt, bet its your side bolt.....looks kinda like a shift fork...your rebuilder wouldn't be at fault for that, might be time to tear the transmission down.

You might have aquired some haters.

I once knew a guy who I rode with everyday, he was jealous of a brand new bike I had got when we were younger.

One day out of the blue my motor blew up when we were out on a long ride.

Once I got home and started to take it apart I saw there was NO oil in the dirtbike, I had checked my oil almost everyday before I rode and had just checked it the night before because I knew we were gonna ride and it was full!.

After about a year and had a falling out with that same guy, a friend of mine had told me that the guy admitted to him that he went to my house in the middle of the night and drained my oil so the bike would get destroyed on our ride.

Even after he drained the oil, the bike still ran for 2 hours before finally locking up.

He got what he deserved in the end, but haters will always be around and will always do sneaky stuff.

At a glance the one piece looks like a broken punch that someone used to try and bend something and the other like a piece of a cam or flywheel?

Still theres noway that went through your oil cooler into your oil tank after coming out of the motor, someone put it there IMHO! and didnt realize there was a screen in there to stop it.

Hopefully you tear it down and find the issue, if not a hater cost you alot of time and money.

haha i have alot of haters man. damn that sucks tho, i woulda beat that guys a*s. the 2 debris came from the side of the motor not the oil tank. im gonna tear the bike down and replace all the stuff that needs to be replaced or i might just send the motor to charlie rossier cause i dont think i have time to rebuild this engine lol. the bike still shifts fine you think the pieces could of been in there for a while? i know the previous owner had alot of problems with this engine..

I bet they were in there when it was rebuilt and never taken out. But you would never know forsure, time to take it apart.
