Build vs buy

So I want a 450r for the dez. And my question is build or buy. If I were to buy there is a nice bike that was build by a recreational rider with stage 5 elkas all around. But, after I bought it I'd have to tear it down to gusset frame and do some motor mods. Or would I be better off building a brand new bike. Both would be in near brand new condition but building would cost about 2k more. But if I built it I could get it dne in one shot instead of having to year down a built bike as soon as I get it. I hope that makes sense and any input is appreciated. Thanks!

buy one with as many parts you need or one with parts that are worth selling to help pay for build, but I wouldn't buy new to rebuild.. its always cheaper to buy one then to build one, just gota find the right one to buy that saves you the most time and money... the key is be patient and wait for the right one
