LTR 450 Oil line problems?

HI, I bought a spare motor for my 08 LTR and when I went to install it I found out the oil lines on the stator side had to go on the side. My previous motor had to go on the bottom of the case. Maybe its just a different year cases or something but I looked on the internet and they all seem to go on the bottom. Please help me if this already happen to you.

it is a different year. it is probably a 2009 motor then.
