Do you guys remove your engine from the frame when installing a piston/cam combo? I'm getting a JE 426 piston and a hotcam stage 2 and I want to leave my engine in the frame when I install the parts. I know you can do it either way but I was just wondering what some of you guys did. Thanks

In the frame. It's more work if you take it out but it makes working on the motor easier.

When you take your engine out, you have to find something to hold it steady while you're wrenching. If you leave it in, you don't have to worry about it falling off the bench, or twisting while you torque a head-bolt, and any problems associated with removing it, like clutch cables and electrical connections.

take it out its 100% easyier to wrench on and u can bring the motor to ur work bench or watever with adaquet lighting, and it only takes 30 minutes to take it out

chavez, you dont have a started or electrical cables either ona 250r. alot easier to remove and you r motor weighs 50lbs not 100lbs. just put it on a stand and work on it in the frame. its not that bad.
