spark plug check

How long should I ride my quad after rejetting to get a good enough reading on the plug? I ran it for like 5 minutes (pretty hard) with a brand new plug and it looked clean. Not brown. I'm wondering if it's still too lean. Also, what is the stock setting for the mixture screw? Isn't it 2 1/2 turns out?

Ride for 5 or 10 minutes then get ur quad goin wide open in like 3rd or 4th gear and shut it off while being wide open( just pull in the clutch real quick and hit the red kill switch). Check ur plug before you start it again and thats how its done.;)

An easier way to ajust the air screw to the right setting.

Turn the idle down as low as possible, (As low it can go with it still running.) Ajust your air screw untill the bike can not Rev any higher, then back it out 1/4 of a turn. Then ajust your idle from there.
