Well my son was in his 2nd race on a stock air cooled drr 50 and he is having a blast other than the fact hes mad at me for not making his bike faster. lol.
So i threw in a clutch kit and shaved a bunch of weight by loosing the oil injection and the electrical. ( has a spark issue anyway) In doing so I came to realize his compression
is extreamly low. So would you do a rebuild on the stock air cooled set up or pinch the pennies and buy the parts to convert it over. If i could find a good full set up i would probably buy it
I am would like everything used from cylinder radiator water pump set up a carb etc. I have a carb set up and a set of v force 3 reeds in the shopping cart on ebay now so goign to give this post some time to work and see what you guys think.

Thanks alot

Josh

if you convert it to L/C an aftermarket cylinder would be more bang for the buck, like a Stage-6 kit. Cost will be several hundred dollars to purchase all L/C parts, cost to rebuild your a/c would be less than 100$

We did well at local stuff with a grissom built malossi a/c motor but on the bigger tracks w/c is the way to go.I would just buy the parts as you can and convert it over once you have everything.

We also did well and won several races on an a/c 70. I have a stage6 a/c 70cc cylinder that would bolt on your motor (needs new piston) I would sell for $100 shipped if you are interested. It would definetly give you some speed.
