View Full Version : ds650 baja X?

I am in the process of making up my mind on a new quad I should have enough cash saved up within the next few months for a down payement, I am really leanin towards the ds650 Baja & Baja X but I am also looking at a raptor,predator and possibly the new kawi 700 but most likely my choice will be the baja X,

but onto my question does anybody here ride a baja X or are they even out yet because I cant find any pics of them or info besides the bombi site and I want all the info I can get because my ol grizz is gettin a little old to be rode like a sport quad so Im gonna retire it and just use it for hog huntin and draggin the hog traps out in the woods :D

Yeah i would definetly go with the bomb baja. I know people who have them and they are awsome. I dont know about the baja x. I dont think they are out yet but i heard they are awsome.

I kinda like the new 700s because of the auto (I dont plan on any hardcore racing) just play racin and trail ridin and stuff but Im still not exactly sure what I want the more I look the more I think about gettin somethin different :D

are you talking about a 04 bomb? because those are sopose to be a h*ll of alot better than the bomb out now :)

I believe so Im not sure if the X's are 03s or 04s but Im guessin since nobody has one yet that they are 04s :D

another question what would I have to do to a 400ex to make it keep up with raptors,kfx 700s and the other big bores because I love how the 400ex's handle and look I just wish they had 6-800 ccs :D

You wont need much a 400 is allready an awsome machine. Ive seen a 400 with a 416 big bore kit and beat a piped rator. I am not really sure but maybe a pipe system, cam, and a air filter will help out a lot and you may be able to beat them. You may need more though i am not really sure. But i would go for the 400 before the kfx 700. The kfx is over 500 pounds and is a lot bigger but a 400 is a good choice you wont need much.

thanks for the help I am gonna research it a little more and within 3-4 months make a decision on somethin :)

as far as the 700 being heavy my grizz weights close to 800pounds with all the stuff on it and air it out all the time :D

thanks for explanin it I dont even own a helmet anymore because normally I am just muddin or playin in the water so none of my pics are of me wearin a helmet but when I get my new quad I am gonna get ridin some ridin gear for when i am bein crazy :D

swampy............we just like to encourage everyone to wear a helmet. I'll let you remove the pic. nice jump. :)

I really like the ds-650. If I lived where there was more open spaces, I would probably have one. You dont see many around here in VA.

done :) I understand where your comin from I recommend and tell everybody to wear helmets but I dont wear one at all I might if I end up getting a new quad but knowin me I probably still wont I guess time will tell :D

The DS is a bad MOFO. Everybody that rides mine cant beleive how smooth it is on the jumps and trails. They say the 400EX's and Raptors ride like wooden wagons compared to the DS. You wont regret it. And the '04 DS Baja's are better that preivous years. to the tune of 84 lbs lighter. That puts it clost to the Rappy weight. And they beat Raptors now. Shave off that weight and you better hang on to your *****! :devil Got any questions about one. PM me. I will be glad to help.
