I never heard a reason for this. Why did honda stop making the 250r????

back in the day, quads getting bad publicity, saying they were too dangerous, thats when all the sport quads dissappeared, 250R, LT250R, Quadzilla, Tecate......

they should start making the R again.. 400ex frame, CR250 engine with EFI and alum frame, kickstart :)

they stopped making it because of the laws that were put in place and the bad rep becase people thought atv's were like cars at the time or most people anyway :rolleyes:

Honda, as well as many other companies, where getting lawsuits because they were all hi-performance quads. Another reason is that people said 2-stroke fumes were bad for the environment (aka also known as "tree huggers" like WOT400ex stated)

So production of the Honda Trx 250R was stoped mainly because:
-Lawsuits
-Environmental factors

that thing was so bad ars! :( but they should make an edited version if thats possible to not "polute the environment" so much. Or just make it wider up in the front and longer in the rear so that so much morons dont flip, etc so much. :rolleyes:

honda wouldnt make a new "edited" 250r. the 250r will never be re-released. its a legend and will always be. todays top racers are using thumpers. but yet jermiah jones is riding a 250r and he has been top 5 for quite some time... :confused2

so how come the banshee got to hang around? i heard the 250rs disppared for two many injuries

a lot of people where getting hurt and killed, i heard two young kids got killed and that was pretty much the last straw...sux:ermm:

yea i heard be3cause of all the injuries/deaths that someone said Honda couldnt sell the 250rs in USA any more,and this was thre biggest buyer by far so theditched it entirely.
