How do I adjust the chain i know you have to loosen the 4 allen bolts ?...then what ? i need to make it looser so i can get the chain back on the rear sprocket becuase the chain fell off and got jammed in between the front sprocket

well.. u must have a 400ex.. cause i have a 250x & theirs only 2 bolts not 4.. lol.. so, ya loosen them bolts & then take a screwdriver, stick it in the slot & turn it whatever way makes it loose.. thats what i do! :D

welp, ya see... right by the rear sprocket, next to it.. i dunno if u have slots, but i do.. i just stick a screwdriver in there & turn up or down..
In between the sproket and the swing arm there are three slots, kind of U shaped. If I find a pic i'll post it.

i loosened it but its still to tight to get back on the sprocket..the chain fell off and is stuck between the front sprocket...what should i do to fix it ??

take the front sprocket off. it only 2 bolts on the case saver and 2 on the sprocket. 8mm on the case saver and 10mm on the sprocket i think. then turn the retainer just a little bit and it will come off then the sprocket will come off

make sure you losten the back 4 screws enough, or you'll break the screw driver :D i've never seen that happen to you, did you break a tooth, too?
