already have valve cover offf --- but on the right crankcase side, in order to the change the timing chain... can i just remove the driven sprocket, oil pump sprocket, and primary drive sprocket... or do i NEED to take the whole clutch assembly out? im doing my best by going from the manual but am getting confused on parts because i dont really know HOW MUCH i HAVE to do... seems there is a shorter way. This is also my first time in this engine. Any help would be amazing and deeply appreciated... thanks!

Yes you have to remove the clutch basket.

just like Blodg said, you gotta pop the clutch cover off, then take the clutch basket off and there's a gear that will come off as well. Might as well replace the guides too if they look worn.
