you can use a 2001 cr125 cdi. look over on trx250r.org, there is a ton of info related to this created by rsss396. he can answer any question you need.

Eddie Sanders is testing other years of the Cr250R CDI's at the moment. I'm still going to look for an 01 CR250R for a little while longer until he comes up with something. Thanks

$699 Bdt will not sell individual CDI's. You have to buy the complete system for $700. Make sure you buy a Wurks pipe while your at it for $900 unchromed. :blah: Making that kind of money I'm sure they will become a site sponsor here shortly.

im pretty sure BDT gets their CDIs from ricks or some company like that and they get them from china. im not sure your engine damage is worth damage over a faulty CDI. also, claiming its an OEM CDI is shady business if you ask me.

BDT Motorsports or 250rtrikes does not sell any Rick's CDI's, or anyother non OEM CDI, we have never sold any, not a single one.

We do sell Ricky Stator 'stators' and 'flywheels', both with a 12 month warranty. The complete CR250R IGN's we have for sale are 100% Honda OEM period, the only non-OEM parts are the Billet mount & adapter plate, and auxiliary ground. The CR50R IGN we sell is made by Electrosport for us, it is not OEM...it is the same IGN other suppliers sell for a CR500R Lighted IGN.

Your "im pretty sure" statement is once again 100% wrong like 99% of everything you post John...attacking BDTM with false information is a habit of yours and is getting old, plus it only keeps dividing the 250R community even further. Claiming to know what you clearly do not know John is like you said "shady business if you ask me".

PS: Pumashine you know better than to provoke negative comments with false innuendoes, on this site, .org or .net...let it go.

Still bringing up old stuff from 2010...is that the best you got John?

I stand behind everything I posted back then and now. If the best you can do is it to keep regergatating the same old post from 2010, then you are even more petty than you appear to be. Why don't you tell us about all the satisfied BDT Motorsports customers John...because you can't get yourself to admit BDT Motorsports is the premir 250R shop, "Simply the BEST".

This is a waste of time, and threads like this never go anywhere, however; be warned that mudding up a forum, this one or anyother one be it the .NET or .ORG always leads to retribution by some, and gives the 250R community another black eye. Let's move on...enough said on my part.

We try to stay neutral, many still feel let down from your 2010 actions. Charge what you want, its just another business to you. Profitable because you are able to charge high prices. Thanks to your business tactics the R parts will just get more expensive. You bought 30 2001 cr250r ignition systems for around $460 each and are selling them for $700 each. You will only be making $7,200 on them. The point is they are no longer available and now you have artificially raised the price by $100. You can't just get the CDI because BDT has them all.

PS, You forgot the BDT in your signature! Tony

Now that is really something for a company that claims to be there for the 250r's future and the 250r owners to do. Buy up all that was left so they can corner the market and raise the price by 100.00 each and take advantage of the consumer. Why would they not still sell them at list price????

Lucky for all 250r fans there are now adapt plates for the 02 up genuine honda oem cr250 ign that are available to 250r owners and engine builders around the world at a non hostege rate.

If you choose the discontinued 01 remember if you have a problem in the future you may be required to run aftermarket parts to keep your ign going, just something to think about.

Thats pretty scummy!!! You should not be anywhere telling other peoples financial business activities. So if your gonna tell it.....tell it right!!! The man spent right at $14,000 to make $7,200??????? Maybe he should just buy them and resell them at cost and make nothing.......would that suit you????

Far as that goes......thats only a 50% markup. Standard retail markup is 300%. I dont see you on here bashing Walmart, gas prices, groceries....etc.

Jus sayin'

I believe std markup is more like 40% maybe even 35% and when deals or discounts are given it is off of that. That is what I have seen in a couple of different industrial type business.

Hard to campare a motorcycle part to industrial equip.....40% on $10,000 will net you $4000. 35% on $100,000 will net you $35,000 on a single item purchase.

My GF runs a business for a fortune 30 company........their minimun markup is 100% up to but not exceeding 300%(as a general rule).......

No, I am talking about 10.00 and up items and not 100 to 100,000 at a time either. I believe your sample may be further off from our industry std then mine.

You all should know better than to bring that drama and crap over to here.

KM250R-BDTM, I'm okay with you defending your business practices when they're attacked, but a simple "All our CDI boxes are OEM" would have been sufficient. Keep the personal attacks out of it, and most important, keep the business promotions and slogans out of it completely.
