maier 400x hood

Hey again guys! I'm wanting the black vented Hood maier offers for the new body 400x. Went to the dealer and they said I have to buy maier front fenders on order for it to fit I find this hard to believe. It doesn't say anything about this on maiers website or any other sites....
Can anyone help please? If not I guess my.next step is calling maier
