Is it possible to bend a spindle up? I was racing an maxc xc race last weekend and I was put into a tree by a dude:mad:. I bananaed my tie rod. I got new heavy duty ones to replace them. Now the camber/caster looks way off. All of my bearings and bushings are good.the wheel isn't bent (running hipers) so the last thing it could be is a bent spindle. What do you guys think? Should I switch to 04/05s ?

It does happen more with 06 and newer. I use Laeger pro trax spindles they are the best. Take a good look at everything . Ball joints and bolts.

I hope it's not the frame! I hit the tree with all wheel I'll do some measurements to compare spindles. If it's mangled does anyone have a set of 04/05 spindles they can part with?

If you swap spindles you need upper a arms too I believe I've got extra 06 spindles but I don't do e bay.

Hello I'm just new here. I think yes it can really happen depending on the impact and force inserted. Best way to check is measure it and compare it with the other side or from other atv with the same model. If ever its really bent, best option would be to replace that part.

I'm pretty sure it's the spindle. Does anyone know what exactly is needed for an 04/05 swap? Anyways by doing this swap should eliminate any problems what so ever.

These frames are extremely weak behind the rear lower a-arm mount. I've bent two frames there from hitting trees. It's easiest to tell if you stand it up on the rear. Not saying that's your problem, but it's a possibility.

Actually the spindle usually breaks not bends.

^^^ its a hardened steel it doesnt like to bend! Id tilt that thing on to the grab bar and measure from the ground up to the a arms on both side hate to say it but I bet you bent the frame!

I finally got around to getting a new spindle. Been pretty busy getting ready to go back to school. It helped a little bit not as bad but it still looks a little bent. I'll have to look at the frame sense the motor is out now. Just recently blew it up at my last local race. Can't seem to catch a break with this thing!!
