After an almost 10 year hiatus, I'm finally back in the atv game. I sold my 400ex back in 2004 right before I went off to university for 6 years. Seeing it being loaded in the back of the truck by its new owner broke my heart. It was like whatever was left of my youth died that day. Now that I'm all grow'd up, I decided to do myself a favor and pick up a new machine. For some reason, a Raptor 700 was calling me. So I shopped around for a few months and found a great deal on a 2011 with low km's (that's right km's I'm Canadian!). My brother and I made a 7 hour road trip to pick it up. Taking it for one rip and hammering on the throttle brought back a pool of memories and emotions. I can easily say that there is nothing in this world comparable to tossing in the headphones and hitting the trails. I love being free and when I'm on the Raptor, I'm 17 again and completely invincible.
I live out at a lake now and it's the perfect backdrop for some evening rides. I can't wait to begin molding!
