use a thumb throttle on rm-z450?

I have been riding my lt-z400 for years, and recently purchased an rm-z450. Because of the twist throttle, the whole bike feels so much less controllable than with the thumb throttle. Has anyone ever changed out their twist throttle for a thumb throttle?
