Anyone looking for a SPAL oil cooler fan for your quad check out my post on Honda ATV parts for sale forum.
4 SPAL puller fan kit (http://www.atvriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?502565-4-SPAL-puller-fan-kit)
I know the price may seem a little high but after the costs and all the fee's its best I can do.

I'll probably pick your kit up off ebay later this month after I get another oil cooler. Need to be cool as it can for drag racing.

I will try to have one in stock. Been having issues with waterproof buttons being delivered on time, but I ordered a bulk batch this time so hopefully we will be set once the arrive. Good luck at the drags.

for drag racing? i wouldn't put a fan on the 400 for drag racing. In fact most drag racers take their fans off of the 450's for weight savings. Every little bit helps and unless you sit idling for a while, the fan won't do much good for drag racing purposes.

If anyone is interested in the non-spal version they are listed here --> Item Number: 290949031341 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/290949031341?item=290949031341&viewitem=&vxp=mtr). Thanks!

Yeah but it shouldn't be too heavy to affect anything. We do idle for awhile but normally just shut them off. I might take that bullhorn bumper off to take some weight down.

The force is strong in this young jedi.

Soon you will have a quad for drag racing only:blah:

Question for you... I have basically the same setup on my DS450, with just a toggle switch. Is that a waterproof push-button switch that you're using?

Also, BUMP for the very fair price for your kit. The SPAL fans are pretty expensive just by themselves, and Yurshia has already done the homework on the correct wire length's and figured it all out for everyone. Nice work.

Maybe, but still has to be somewhat field worthy. ;)

Rather get a 450r and start from there though if I had the money.

Yes it is a waterproof push button switch. Unfortunately they are made in china and the only place I found to order them from is china. Heres a link if anyone is looking for one, Ebay: RA7L (http://www.ebay.com/itm/1P-Waterproof-Lock-Switch-9v-12v-24v-36v-110v-250v-RA7L-/120731605216?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c1c2a18e0)
Thanks for the kind words!

Did they go up in price or is it because it's an actual spal?

This one is an actual Spal 4" Puller kit and they are quite a bit more expensive than the other waterproof fans. I have 1 spal kit($98) and 1 of my normal kits ($65) left at the moment.

Give me alittle bit and I'll probably take your regular kit. How much of a difference is there with the movement of air from both fans?

The Spal kit moves 147CFM but is the name brand and a better built fan (made for the atv off road industry).
The $65 fan kit moves 175CFM.

looks like a great kit for those that dont want the hassle of messing with the wires! I wish you the best with the sales on these kits, I may even pick one up in the future if i decide to get a fan.

Thanks for your contributions to the 400!

Sorry for the late reply but got his all installed Saturday and it runs great. It really pulls the air through. I have one of xrs dipsticks and I can tell it cools the engine down a lot quicker. And in the instructions, it says to take all the plastic off. You don't have to take the front plastic off so that was a good thing. Thanks man!

Glad you like it. Yeah the plastics depend on the year, on my 01 it was easier to remove the front to access the cooler but on my 07 I was able to do it with just the front panel off. How did the rodeo and drags go?

Drags are tomorrow evening. But rodeo went awesome!

We actually had the barrel racing and two other fun events including cones.

I won 1st place in the barrel racing, 1st in the next event, and 2nd in the last one. Brought home a trophy and $125 bucks. :D

Now I just hope I can do good tomorrow!

Great man! Ran a 4.9 which is my personal best. Beat a lot of 450s and some built raptors. I hooked like a mofo too.
