Ran a 4.0 last night :bandit:

Then the motor started heading south, time for a rebuild and sproket change.

4.0 is fast! Wish my 400 could break the high 4s! 5.1s is my best on the strip. Good job man!

How do you keep your feet on those round pegs? The first pegs I made for my Bonda were tubes like that, and I couldn't keep my feet on, it was a scary feeling. I've since built some new ones that are more conventional, and I feel much better about them

I was going to ask if 4.0 was a good time. Johndoe, how does thst compare to the 450's or to the 440ex motor you had?

4.0 is good, the actual time was 4.037 and the fastest 450 ran a 4.027!!! the only faster vehicle was a blown out dirt drag truck that ran a 3.5.

The 450 had a bore, port, carb, intake, valves and a lock up clutch and 10 paddle 20s.

I was geared for the street and to run 18in drag slicks, I got lazy and was supposed to change my 38t rear to the new 42t rear because I was using 22in 4 snows. It wouldnt launch it would just die, I had to slip the clutch to even take off. Still was 3rd fastest of the night, with the 42 sproket I expect to be in the 3s easily.

Heres a vid of me going with a banshee, I bogged out bad on the start but still caught up to him at the end he was running 4.3s.

Wow man, that's pretty sweet. There's some wicked fast 450s at our strip that i'll never be able to beat.

I still need to get my 40t rear sprocket and I'm just going to get a regular steel chain for drag racing instead of oring.

And I'll probably bump my main up to 210 and see if it bogs down. If it does, I'm putting a 205 in it and stopping.

Went to the dirt drags again last night, ran a 3.9

Unfortunatly, it was the last night of racing before the bank was taking back the property. Everyone was kinda slacking, not watching the times when people went down the track, everyone had some extra races because they werent getting times and the staff didnt know who won.....ya.

My 2 best runs didnt get a recorded time and werent announced over the intercom either, but my one time on a decent run that was recorded was 3.9.

heres a nice atc250r with a 310 kit and out of frame FTZ pipe like mine.

More competition the white yfz is deff a sleeper, thats the one with the lock up clutch and motor work.

This gray yfz had less motor but did have a extended swingarm and a inframe drag pipe.

In this pic you can see where I need more paddle, I was using 21in 8 paddle haulers and I spun HARDCORE the whole way down the track with almost never gripping like I should have, the bald clean spots on the tires are from roosting way to much...lol. deff need a 10 or 12 paddle 20 or 21in tire.

http://i953.photobucket.com/albums/ae15/johndoe83_2010/DSCN0675_zpsa9475305.jpg (http://s953.photobucket.com/user/johndoe83_2010/media/DSCN0675_zpsa9475305.jpg.html)

And in this one you can see that the yfz with 9 paddle 20in tires has barely any bald spot/ roost rub.
