XC link question

I just got a new Fox Podium X rear shock for the stock linkage. I also have a GT xc link. Can I use that linkage with that shock? Thanks.

Btw its on an 05 trx450r with stock swingarm.

You can bolt it together, but I'd be leary on running it like that unless you make sure the shock will bottom and finish it's travel before the frame hits the ground.

The link would also make the shock feel softer than it should. I'd get it rebuild for the link or run the stock linkage for the time being :muscle:
