I would do a cam also and depending on the type of cam you may need rockers, springs and i would do a valve job also. Porting ?

I was checking into a 440 kit instead of a 416. If i were to do one i would get one of the engine builders kit rather than a 200-300 dollar mail order kit. You will get a better sleave better parts. Cost is more but the reliablity will be better. Dont go cheep when you you do it or you will get what you pay for. ;)

from what i can gather there are only 2 kinds of sleves that they use la sleves and advance sleves. u have to have your cases machined to use the advance.

LRD, Trinity and others use Northwest Sleeve.

I didn't need to machine my cases for the Advanced Sleeve and it was $25 less expensive than the LA Sleeve.

I wouldn't get a kit.

Just oder a piston, sleeve, and gasket kit and you'll have a "kit."

I pieced mine together. Sleeve and gasket kit from advanced sleeve was $80. Piston was $130 from Ross.

The first 440 I had a was a White Brothers kit. It turned out my Wiseco piston was rated at 11:1 but wound up 9.6:1 when I put it together.

No you don't need anything else but the more you add (cams, porting, carb, ect...) the faster it will be.

Carefull. It gets addicting.

Matt, I got them from servicehonda.com. They were very easy to install and are a good idea with any new cam.

I want to say they were $21-ish each.
