Allright, I just got the 400 back together and I push the start button and NOTHING happens. Not even a tick or anything just nothing. I had the started cover off to polish? but thats secure...the oil filter cover off for polishing but thats on there good with a new filter. the front plastics were off but all the connections are in place...and the lights (high and low) all work fine...accept the start button :confused: any have any suggestions..Thanks alot.

if all you removed were the side cases....maybe ya pinced the 2 wires when reinstalling.....

also check the starter wire and the ground cable....and dont forget about the 2 fuses

Do your headlights work? When I put mine back together I pulled the ground wire out of one of the front plugs and it didn't let power get to the ignition.
When it was that the headlights didn't work either.

No the headlights work fine, and when one fuses are fine. Still nothing...any other suggestions

Can you jump the solenoid to see if it will turn over the starter?

I jump started it an it ran fine, i change the fuses as well, lights still work but when i hit the button it does nothing at all. anyone?

are your battery connections tight? did you try charging battery

sounds like a bad switch.check it with a multi meter.
