I have recently took the top end off of my 400 and was wondering what would be the easiest way to set the timing on these bikes? Just any hints or anything will help... Thanks!!

Rotate crank to TDC (t mark on flywheel), put cam in lobes down, put cam gear in so it aligns with top of head like so _ | _ , put cam bolts in with blue loctite. Thats all there really is to it, super simple.

Yeah there's several marks, some are just parallel lines, then there is the T which also has a line with it. The main thing to do is to get the T lined up with the notch on the peek hole. If you think you went past the T just go back around and find it again, when it gets to TDC it tends to want to go past the T. You're almost always right at TDC when the T is just prior to that notch on the peek hole. It's easy to go past TDC and still think you have it right. Just go slow and let it land perfectly.
